I think that the photos speak for themselves, but here are the written instructions anyway.
Cut a rather thick piece of white bread (recipe elsewhere on the blog) or take a piece of store-bought white bread.
Make a hole in the middle of the bread with a shot glass or with something of the same size.
In a frying pan, brown both sides of the bread in butter. Break an egg into the hole and cook it until it is as firm as you like it.
A friend happily made himself TWO eggs-in-a-hole and then regretted the overdose for most of the day.
Believe us – one egg-in-a-hole is plenty.
